The rottweiler...not just a breed

I know many people, many of my friends who think the rottweiler is a dangerous dog that eats everybody up, and these people, should be ashamed to say that they own and love their dogs.
Unless you are bitten by a rottweiler, what reason is there that you should fear one?
Because they have a bad reputation?

Let me tell you something, Mister. I know of golden retrievers who are just as aggressive as rottweilers. And don't you dare tell me it's because they are mentally deranged. They are JUST DOGS! They don't understand speech, only your body language. Now imagine, if you were chained up in your house all day, would you not feel angry, agitated? Just get something to trigger that and you too will go mental.
The rottweiler is a breed that needs a lot of mental exercises to put its mind at work. It needs to feel needed, and it wants to please its owner.

I have seen pitbulls and if they are not aggressive, what is there to fear in them? I have petted them, and they have allowed me to.

All these dogs, they all just need something called socialization to keep them from doing what they are reputed to do.

Remember! There are no bad dogs, just bad owners!

Why 2010?

Does everyone have bad karma this year?

I've never heard of that many dog-related injuries, deaths this year. Ever.

Since this is a rottie blog, I'll tell you about the rotties.

The dog above is an amazing rottweiler and stud dog.

His name, Dack Flash Rouse.

Died of heatstroke after a long run at the show.

However, the number of things he had won......were just unbelievable.

And now, Meeka, a blogger buddy's sweet, gentle rottie.
